First of all Happy Sunday guys.
How was your weekend? Well I didn’t do much just spent time with the family- the best kind of weekend is the lazy ones am I right? With Monday rising on the horizon I thought I would share with you guys 6 words of wisdom I try to live by. These ‘rules’ if you must give them a name helped me realise we don’t have to stress out our entire lives, what way is that to live?
Following these ‘rules’ has helped me in my mental state; I’ve stopped stressing but the things I can not control, because stress is not good for you and has caused me a lot of problems in the past. So with my new state of mind following a more spiritual lifestyle and meditating every single day I now feel like I am in control of my mind & I am much more grounded and centred in life. I believe if you start to incorporate these little statements into your life you will feel much better.
Ok, so onto the words of wisdom:
- Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up your present
- No one is in charge of your happiness except you
- Stop thinking too much, you don’t need all the answers right away
- Time heals everything, just give it time
- Stop comparing your life to others; each journey is unique
- Simply smile, enjoy life and hold no regrets
Do you follow some of these already? Do you have your own words of wisdom? Or will you start incorporating these into your life? Let me know below. I hope you have a great Sunday afternoon; oh and I challenge you to do something for yourself today, Self-care Sunday! Have a relaxing bath, do some yoga, write something in your journal or simply watch your favourite movie/ tv show. Doing something for yourself is a great way to relax and feel stress-free. Tell me what you do to relax, I would love to know.

Great post, Sophia! Super inspiring, just what you need on a Sunday to motivate you for the week! I completely agree that it’s necessary to make peace with your past in order to progress – nothing holds you back more than hanging on to anger, upset, or resentment from previous events! Learning that you don’t always need to have all the answers is important too, it’s something I’m still working on! Thanks for sharing!

All of these are so true, but #1 is so important because it’s something we can do without realising! Hopefully this inspires people to let the past simply be in the past 💖 xo.
